Care Home Planting Project
The problem we had with this particular site was that the main entry into a care home didn’t have much year round interest. With a limited budget we looked to intersperse the existing planting, which was quite sparse with some plants that would give winter colour and flower and also some taller structure as well.
We used some birch trees, a few evergreen plants and a few things that are going to give a bit of flower as well. We then gave the planting a nice fresh covering of bark mulch to keep the weeds down and stop the ground from drying out.
New Planting Scheme
The next scheme involved big blocks of colour which are really good in larger properties. Quite often it’s more visually impacting to have big blocks of colour rather than a complex mixture of things.
The project involved a complete clear out of the existing planting and then a redesign and planting of a new scheme to add impact and colour to the area.
